Ruínas de Milreu – Estói
Roman remains were found here in 1877 by Estacio da Veiga . The ruins of a large Roman farm house and the remains of the thermal baths demonstrate how ancient this place is. In addition to the many artifacts found there, the bust of Agripina and Adriano was also discovered . Definitely worth a visit for people interested in archeology
 
 
Tavira

It is said this town was established by the Phoenicians. Visit it and get to know town's history. With many churches it is also known as the city of the Churches. Moreover it still maintains its fishing tradition.

You can take a ferry-boat in Tavira to the other side of the Tavira island – where you find a quiet beach offering clear waters – wonderful!




 


Pego do Inferno


Close to Tavira , this well worth a visit by those who really enjoy nature. . It's a beautiful forested area with a charming water fall.

 
Loulé


“Cidade da Tia Anica”, is worth a visit. The well restored traditional houses that surround the wall are now the Municipal Museum and an Arts Center . Near the historical center and the Capela das Almas in the center of Loulé you can still find artisans of the traditional hand made cooper and craw baskets.

Moncarapacho

A typical village 8km from Aldeia de Marim , in a hilly landscape with many vegetable gardens and fig , almond and roman trees. The streets still have some houses from the rich arquitectural period of the XIX / early XX century, several churches and a museum.
 
Faro


Capital of the Algarve , Faro is a city marked with lots of old stories and traditions and it keeps its historical richness even t hough it is a modern city. A visitor will not be disappointed.
